John David Hicks has been a realtor since 1958. He has been in business in the hill country since 1980.

John and wife Barbara have six boys and many grandchildren. Two of his boys have also returned to the Canyon. John is active in the Chamber of Commerce, Senior Citizens, Montell Country Club and is a Deacon at First Baptist Church of Camp Wood.

 Sondra Madden has her roots in the Nueces Canyon and returned to Camp Wood about 15 years ago. She is active in the Chamber, is on the Library Board for Nueces Canyon Public Library, the EMS of Nueces Canyon Board, a member of AHMATA,  and a member of First Baptist Camp Wood.
